If you are one of those people who can't get enough of all things Celtic, then you really should check out The Kilt and Clover. Imagine a store that specializes in unique Irish and Scottish items is right here in the Forest City. With a selection that includes clothing, books, music, edible goods, jewelry, musical instruments and Irish china, this store should be on your "frequent stops" list.

According to store owner Linda Castree The Kilt and Clover's merchandise is essentially broken down to about seventy percent Irish and thirty percent Scottish. It is one of forty five Irish import shops in Illinois, and that means they need to try hard to stand out from the rest. The Kilt and Clover achieves this in two ways. The first concept is to have a knowlegable staff and be ready and willing to answer any questions their customers have. The second thing that makes The Kilt and Clover stand apart is that Castree works hard to make sure they have a unique selection of merchandise - often times items that you can't get anywhere else. They are also going to be opening up a full wedding section and a heraldry section. I'm sure everyone understands that first one, but the second refers to family crests and such - a definite attraction to those with Celtic heritage.

If you want to find that special Irish bracelet, ring, watch or other item, The Kilt and Clover will probably have just what you're looking for. If you are thinking of playing a Celtic instrument, you should stop in to the store, too. They have some instruments from Tin Whistles to Bodrhans and Chanters - and have tutors to help you learn your chosen musical path. If you are a fan of Guiness Beer, they've got a lot of Guiness goods in stock - brilliant - as the commercial says. From Irish linens to musical cottages to Irish baby items, they have a wide range of gift ideas, too. They also stock many edible items from Ireland and Scotland and a selection of clothing options.

While this article can go a way towards listing a good deal of things that The Kilt and Clover carries, truly the only way to experience the store in full is to stop in and look around. Be sure to check out their website at www.thekiltandclover.com, though because they do have a lot of special events - and their online newsletter will definitely keep you apprised of that.
