Charlotte's Web Presents: Robin & Linda Williams and Their Fine Group
by Press Release

Join us for an incredible evening with Garrison Keillor’s favorite musical guests, (and fellow movie stars), as heard on Public Radio’s Prairie Home Companion, Robin & Linda Williams!

WHO: Robin & Linda Williams and Their Fine Group

WHAT: Concert event presented by Charlotte’s Web for the Performing Arts

WHEN: 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008

WHERE: Mendelssohn PAC, 415 N. Church St., Rockford, IL
WHY: Robin and Linda have been working their magic on stage for 30 years, and their discography spans 24 years. Joined by Their Fine Group, this is one roots music outfit who are "comfortable being nicheless." Past masters of roots music, their tremendous repertoire encompasses country, traditional, bluegrass, modern folk, and Southern gospel. A good bit of that repertoire also consists of original tunes. Because they have such a deep selection from which to draw, the range of material one might hear during a Robin and Linda Williams concert is quite broad and eclectic. Their gift for grasping such a breadth of material with conviction makes Robin and Linda and Their Fine Group, a true delight in concert: a folksy band that is nicheless yet noteworthy and timeless.
