Nationally known book entertainer Barbara Rinella presents a new book dramatization based on Nora Ephron’s I Feel Bad About My Neck And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the annual Women’s Art Board Luncheon at Giovanni’s Restaurant, 610 N. Bell School Rd., Rockford. Proceeds benefit Rockford Art Museum programs.
A former English teacher and talented storyteller with a serious fan following, Rinella dramatizes contemporary literature and calls her witty, first-person renditions “academic entertainment.” She combines intelligence, humor and dramatic impersonations to provide insight into a book’s characters. By becoming characters in recently published books, Rinella creates a lively “living literature” for audiences.
Reservations are $40 each, and may be made by sending checks made payable to: Women’s Art Board, 5352 Winding Creek Dr., Rockford, IL 61114. Reservation deadline is Oct. 17. For more information, call Neva at (815) 637-1220.
