Beginning Tuesday, August 28, dozens of area business will distribute free “early bird” Guides to the 2007 Parade of Homes, the premier event coordinated each year by the Home Builders Association of the Greater Rockford Area to showcase the region’s new home and condominium construction. The Parade of Homes – a free event open to the public - opens on Saturday, September 8, and runs every day through Sunday, September 16. The event hours are noon to 6 pm, Saturdays & Sundays and 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Monday through Friday
The Parade of Homes Guide features the elevations, floor plans, descriptions and locator maps to all of the more than 50 model homes in the 2007 Parade of Homes. Parade of Homes Guides are available free of charge while supplies last (see accompanying page for a complete listing of participating businesses); in addition, all Parade of Homes model homes will have copies of the plan book beginning Saturday, September 8.
More than 50 homes and condominiums in Winnebago, Boone and Ogle counties are on the Parade of Homes roster, showcasing a wide range of styles, sizes, amenities and locations. Attendees at this year’s event will have the chance to win several home-related prizes, including:
