The Silver Creek Band is a family band with generations of traditions coming together to form the tight harmonies that are Silver Creek’s signature sound. Their style of music ranges from Current Country hits to Traditional Country and Bluegrass. Southern Rock and Alternative Country round out the mix. A great range of instrumentation completes the experience.

Ben Doetch contributes vocals and plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin and harmonica. His wife Debbie sings her traditional style of country. Son Benjamin anchors the band on bass guitar and can tear up the house with his vocals and harmonies. Steve Kelly, former lead guitar player from the legendary DeKalb area Southern Rock band Shooter, can handle any licks from Brad Paisley to Lynyrd Skynyd.  Jim Embry plays guitar, mandolin and banjo. He can also slur the words to any drinking song. Neal Dollinger on drums keeps everyone on time both during and between songs. Chuck Stowe plays pedal steel guitar and Dobro to complete their solid Country sounds.

Highlights for the group have been seven straight “On The Waterfront” appearances, performing at the 2003 Beloit Riverfest, 2004 DeKalb Cornfest, 2003 RAMI Awards performance, multiple Rochelle Heritage Days and parade performances.  The Silver Creek Band has been nominated for the Best Country Band in Rockford for the last six years.
