Summer Camp Open House will be held Saturday, April 5, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at two locations: Rockford Park District's Atwood Environmental Center (for Camp Lone Oak) in Seth B. Atwood Park, 2685 New Milford School Rd., and at Linda K. White Center in Aldeen Park, 623 N. Alpine Rd. (for Nature Quest. Visitors can tour the facilities, experience camp activities, and meet the experienced and enthusiastic staff of these American Camp Association accredited camps.

At the free Open House events, registrations will also be taken for these two nature-based summer camps: Camp Lone Oak, a resident camp where youth ages 9-14 develop a relationship with the natural world, and Nature Quest, a week-long day camp based at Aldeen Park, where children ages 5-10 enjoy a different theme and nature/environment related activity each week, along with traditional camp activities.

Information about an installment payment plan option will be available, as well as information about the Fun For All Kids fee assistance program. Registration is now underway online at www.rockfordparkdistrict.org, and at both Park District Customer Service locations (downtown, and Carlson Ice Arena).
