Rockford Symphony Offers Classes for Home Schoolers

The Rockford Symphony Orchestra’s Spring Classes for 2008 begin in March and registration is currently underway. Pre-registration for classes is required and classes meet in Classroom 1 in the Riverfront Museum Park which houses the RSO offices. Lessons include listening and hands on activities.

The Meet the Maestro Series for ages 8-12introduces three American composers who greatly impacted music in the 20th and 21st century. Each class is $5; or register for all three for $12. These classes are offered in conjunction with the RSO’s Festival of American Composers.

A class for younger students ages 5-8 will be offered as well:
