Named for local shaman “Cusco” Jack Gleason,  Cusco Jack’s Gallery’s Gifts and Gatherings focuses on items designed to help you find your personal center. Located at 6957 Olde Creek Road, the store is owned by Pat Cocoma.

You may have visited them when they were located in Edgebrook shopping center. While that location was their home for 3 years, they’ve been at this new location for a year and a half. While the scene may have changed, the emphasis is the same. They stock items to help you achieve a greater sense of balance and peace in your life. The goal is on healing and nurturing and it shows in their displays and their product lines.

With a selection that Cocoma describes as “eclectic,” you can expect to find such things as rocks, gems and minerals along side jewelry and incense. Australian didgeridoos can be found as can crystal singing bowls, books, teas, lotions, candles, chimes, drums and rattles. It’s very much a case of “something for everyone,” and all with a positive bent.

Cocoma says that some of their more popular items are their “essential oils.” With purported healing properties, essential oils have been used for centuries by various cultures and have been getting some wider acceptance by many in the scientific community in recent years.

The store also showcases art and hosts many events like book signings, classes and more. If you’ve been to Cusco Jack’s it seems likely you are now one of their regulars. If you haven’t then, this is a perfect time to make your first foray. Who can’t use some healing these days?
