RCCA's Final Concert This Season: Angele Dubeau & La Pieta

The “hottest chamber ensemble” according to Soundstage Magazine, Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà, will appear at the historic Coronado Theatre on Friday, April 18, 7:30 p.m., 314 North Main Street in downtown Rockford.

The all-female string ensemble is led by founder Ms. Dubeau, who will play a 1773 Stradivarius violin. The group will perform works of the great masters as well as selections composed for them.

TICKETS
Single tickets are available from the Coronado Performing Arts Center at 815-968-0595, www.coronadopac.org or the Coronado Theatre box office. Adult tickets are $40; student tickets are $15.

BONUS CONCERT
New subscribers to the Rockford Coronado Concert Association’s 2008-2009 season may attend the Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà concert free if they buy the new season subscription by that concert date, April 18.  The 2008-2009 season features the operas Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Czech Symphony Orchestra with violinist Jennifer Frautschi, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Burning River Brass. BACKGROUND of Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà
Ms. Dubeau is a graduate and First Prize Winner of the Montreal Conservatory of Music. She also won first prize in the Canadian Music Competition as well as many others. In additional honors, she received the Classical Recording of the Year seven times from ADISQ, a Canadian music organization.

The group has toured internationally and has been featured on PBS and NPR. Their program includes works by Brahms, Liszt, jazz classics and selections from the great classical repertoire.

ROCKFORD CORONADO CONCERT ASSOCIATION
The Rockford Coronado Concert Association has nearly 2,000 subscribers from northern Illinois. It is governed by a local volunteer board of directors and has served the community since 1936. Season subscriptions for all five concerts are $85 for adults; $40 for students; and $210 for packages that include two adult tickets and multiple student tickets.
