In our first edition of our new column - Heard Around Town -Are a number of quotes overheard while attending Groove Walk 2004. Don't worry all names used are changed to protect anonymity.

- "Wow, sorry man. I thought I should salute you or something. I thought you were the mayor...Man, I thought he was going to give a speech or something. I'd have to go back inside. Then I could get my face on the picture or something."
- Young skipping women from one side of State St. to the other: "So are you guys having a good time?"
Middle aged couple: "yeah, we're having fun.
Skipper with surprise: "Hey, they talked to me."
- "Go ahead. I'll find you. I'll just listen for the noise."
- Young group of girls: "Tina's dating a guy in his 40's. And he's a grandpa." |
