Major Market Comedy Acts Now in POPLAR GROVE!
by Press Release
Not many smaller markets, such as Poplar Grove are able to have national comedy shows like you would see in the major markets of Loa Angeles & New York. The Funny Business Agency is now bringing national comedy acts to Poplar Grove every Thursday at CHUBBY RAIN.

Funny Business is the largest agency in the country booking comedy in over 63 cities each week. CHUBBY RAIN has now tied into at our national routing to bring into Poplar Grove the newest and best rising young stars from all over the United States. Comics you see on the Tonight Show, David Letterman, & Showtime - including famous acts like Drew Carey and Tim Allen - have played the comedy club circuits thanks to The Funny Business Agency. We love to get incredibly funny comedians into places that would normally not think they could afford it. We've done it hundreds of times and the results are fabulous.

Humor has always offered strong entertainment value since the beginning of time. Before radio, before TV, before we had a stump to stand on, someone was cracking someone else up. The truth is laughter is good medicine. Bob Hope has said "I have seen what a laugh can do. It can transform almost unbearable tears into something bearable, even hopeful". Today we are booking great comedians into clubs in medium to small size towns all across America. If you have never seen live comedy, then you've just got to try it. It's a great stress release and very memorable entertainment. You will be talking about this show for some time afterwards.

The big-time laughs are now happening every THURSDAY starting Sept. 16th at CHUBBY RAIN - House of Tunes. Call it "Doctor's Orders" and enjoy a dose of laughter to cure your end-of-summer blues.

Thursday nights from 8:30 - 10pm. $5 Admission.
