Pec Playhouse Theatre announces tickets are now on sale for Escanaba in da Moonlight, a “Super Yooper” comedy by Jeff Daniels.
 
Returning to Pec Playhouse Theatre is this twisted comedy by actor and musician Jeff Daniels.  Known for appearing in Terms of Endearment and Dumb and Dumber, Daniels wrote Escanaba in da Moonlight, a play for guys who don’t like plays, with non-stop hilarity about ritualistic deer hunting and male pride.  Escanaba in da Moonlight first appeared at Pec Playhouse as a staged reading, and then returned as an off-season two-show fundraiser.  But this comedy is too good not to get a complete run and full billing, and so it’s back by popular demand!  This fall we’ll journey to Escanaba, Michigan (or as they say up there, “da U.P.”)  where the Soady men trek each year to play cards, drink homemade whiskey, and bag bucks.  There’s one problem though.  Reuben’s the only one who’s never bagged a buck, and at age 35, it’s suspected he just might be cursed. In a hunting story to beat all hunting stories, Escanaba in da Moonlight spins a hilarious tale of humor and heart as Reuben goes to any and all lengths to remove himself from the wrong end of the family record book.  

Long time director at Pec Playhouse Theatre, Michael Dice will be taking the reins as director for this popular comedy.  Reprising their roles are Tom Dabson as The Jimmer, Jamie Button as Remnar and Glen Wiegert as Reuben.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm, September 14th through 30th.  Tickets are $10 for all seats or $9.00 for groups of 20 or more.
