Sounds at Sunset - A Tropical Treasure for the Family

AWARE, an auxiliary of the Alzheimer's Association, announces the third annual Sounds at Sunset - A Tropical Treasure for the Family, featuring an outdoor concert performed by The Men of Our Times and a Children's Treasure Hunt. 


Sounds at Sunset - A Tropical Treasure for the Family will be held at Klehm Arboretum on Sunday, August 21.  Funds raised will benefit the Rockford office of the Alzheimer's Association.  New this year is a Children's Treasure Hunt.  The gate will open at 4:30 p.m., with the Children's Treasure Hunt beginning at 5:30 p.m. and The Men of Our Times performing from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.    Attendees of this family oriented event may bring their own food or pre-order from the Sounds at Sunset picnic menu offered by River District Catering.  Admission price is $15, with free admission for children 12 and under.    


JT Lambert Photography will be taking family photos on the grounds from 6:30 - 8:00, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer's Association.  Families wishing to schedule photos should contact Jon Lambert at 815/494-5261. 


Tickets may be purchased at the gate, in advance from any AWARE member or by calling the Alzheimer's Association at 815/484-1300.  Those wishing to pre-order from the picnic menu should call River District Catering, 815/964-8365.
