CD Source - An Alternative to High Priced CD's and DVD's

Is the high price of new CD's and DVD's keeping you from getting the latest tunes and flicks? If the answer is "yes", then you should check out CD Source. They stock a wide variety of used (but guaranteed to play) CD's and DVD's for far less than new prices. They also have used vinyl to give you a reason to keep that old turntable around and used cassettes. If that's not enough, they also carry brand new T-Shirts, posters, buttons and patches. You can even listen to any CD in the store before buying it - no more getting something home and finding out that the only song you like is the one that's on the radio. They even have a club that offers a free disc after you buy ten.

Brian Bowman started the first CD Source 8 years ago, and it's still going strong. Now he's even opened a store in Janesville and has put the original one in the capable hands of Aron Rasmussen and Matt Wolff. That first location is in Forest Plaza 6373 E. State, right next to T.J. Maxx. The Janesville store is in Pine Tree Plaza (do they have a thing for shopping centers named after trees or what?) 2900 Deerfield Dr., Suite 1F.

Prices for DVD's average about 9 dollars and most CD's run about 7.99 - definitely less than buying new. They even let you take 3 CD's for 20 dollars or 3 DVD's for 25 for greater savings. They also have a discount bin of CD's (slightly scratched, but still guaranteed to play) at 3.99. Plus, if you've scratched your favorite CD, movie or video game, they can even use their machine to get it playing again. That handy service will run you only $2.00 for a movie or CD or $3 for a game.

If you're one of those people who avoids clubs because you always lose your card (or send it through the washing machine), CD Source club will be a nice one for you. You don't need your card. They can simply look it up on their computer, and tell how many purchases you have toward your next free disc. That's definitely refreshing.

Whether your looking for a cool T-shirt for the coming warmer weather, the latest Spiderman movie or a Metallica CD, CD Source will be a worthwhile stop. Even if you aren't in the market right now, but instead want to unload some of the music or movies you don't use anymore, they'll buy them from you. All in all, CD Source is a win-win situation. They're open 11-9 Monday through Friday, 10-6 on Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday.
