Stop by JustGoods Listening Room on your way to the Element's public meeting, (at 7 at Memorial Hall), about Artspace www.artspacerockford.org for a re-fueling of the spirit with live music as we present award winning singer/songwriters: Caleb Hawley and Reed Waddle in our first Showcase Event.
At 12, Caleb Hawley learned his first Nirvana song on guitar. Due to the overwhelming response from the seventh-grade girls, he decided to learn more. Soon Caleb was the youngest bar hopper in Minneapolis, performing for “old people” all over the city. A few years later, college came. He decided to head out to Boston and attend Berklee College of Music. He received a degree in jazz composition then re-located to New York City and in July of 2007, released his debut CD, “Greatest Hits”. "More poetic and more emotional than practically any other act playing right now. In a period of pop stars devoid of any emotion, the soulful lyrics of Waddle shine through as a bright spot on a barren plain." Neufutr's James McQuiston
Reed Waddle is an artist who has arrived "Piece by Piece". His fourth album finds the constantly evolving singer songwriter at the peak of his melodic dexterity, fusing highly emotional soundscapes with a wide palette of memorable pop/rock anthems. His lyrical vision & depth invites comparison by many as a modern day Van Morrison melding into "a similar relaxed soulfulness that recalls Boz Scaggs best work that at the end of the day, any day, sounds great" Joe Hartlaub (Music-reviewer.com)
