On With the Show, AE fundraiser, performs Saturday, Feb. 5

Great show tunes that celebrate the theater are the highlight of On With the Show, this year’s Arty-Joke fundraiser for Artists’ Ensemble Theater. This one-night-only performance is at 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 5 at Rockford College. Tickets are $30. All proceeds benefit Artists’ Ensemble, the region’s only resident Equity professional theater.
Musical guests include Jodi Beach, Patte Armato-Lund, Dennis Johnson, Scott Chachula, Kyle Adams, Tim Anderson, and Paul Steffan performing showstoppers from “A Chorus Line,” “Into the Woods,” “Wicked,” “The Music Man,” and “Annie Get Your Gun.”
AE regulars will perform teaser scenes from upcoming shows, from both this season and the next. Performers include Rod MacDonald, Steve Vrtol, Linda Abronski, Jan Bacino, Richard Raether, David Causey, Jenniel Wright, Carolyn Cadigan, Erin Spears, Katie Maringer, David Gingerich, and more.
“We’re throwing an on stage party that brings together outstanding local talent celebrating the songs and stories of the theater. It’s going to be spectacular,” says AE Artistic Director Richard Raether, There will also be a silent auction beginning at 7:00 in the lobby of the Maddox Theatre.
