Broadway visits the RSO!

The Rockford Symphony Orchestra is proud to present Broadway Today!, a performance featuring three Broadway vocalists, at the beautiful Coronado Performing Arts Center in downtown Rockford on Saturday, March 6 at 7:30 pm.
Joining Maestro Steven Larsen for this exciting concert event are Broadway veterans Rita Harvey, Philip Hernández, and Ted Keegan. Ms. Harvey made her Broadway debut performing the lead role of Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera and appeared recently as Fredel in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Mr. Hernández is the only man in Broadway history to have played both Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert in Les Misérables. Mr. Keegan made his Broadway debut as Anthony in the highly acclaimed 1989 revival of Sweeney Todd and has appeared as the Phantom on Broadway and on the national tour of The Phantom of the Opera.
Wicked, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!, and The Phantom of the Opera are some of the contemporary blockbusters to be featured, as well as Broadway classics such as Man of La Mancha, Cabaret, and Company.
The Broadway Today! Pops concert is made possible through the first year’s earnings from the Endowment of the Rockford Symphony Orchestra Foundation and is part of the Rockford Health System Pops Series.
