by Press Release

Kickstand Productions is pleased to present, rock music legend, Gene Ween, of famed band, Ween at Ottos Nightclub in Dekalb, IL.  Gene Ween will be making his debut in Dekalb, Illinois, on Friday February 12th at 9:00pm. Gene Ween, the pseudonym for Aaron Freeman, is the rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist for experimental alternative rock group Ween. alongside his longtime friend and band mate, Dean Ween, Gene helped assemble what has become the force of Ween. A force that has remained in independent pop music for over 15 years now, playing some of the largest music festivals in the world, including Lallapalooza, Bonnaroo, Coachella and Rothbury.

Over the years Ween has attained a cult following of fans, notably for their signature brand of off-kilter and bizarre music, music that Frank Zappa himself would be proud of. The band’s first breakout single ‘Push th’ Little Daisies’ ruled the airwaves of MTV in 1992, paving the way for many motion picture soundtracks appearances and high-profile music videos, including a video directed by famed producer Spike Jonze. With far-reaching success, Ween has made several televised appearances, including performances on Letterman, MTV’s ‘Oddville’, Crank Yankers as well as several appearances on the popular Comedy Central series, ‘South Park’.

If you are interested in setting up an interview, do not hesitate to get in touch. Gene’s management is very proactive and we would love to help you secure an interview with a modern rock legend!
