Harmonica Virtuoso and RSO Offer Special Events to the Rockford Community

Robert Bonfiglio, the “master of the harmonica” will be the Rockford Symphony Orchestra’s guest artist for the January 16 RSO Classic Series concert. As a prelude to Mr. Bonfiglio’s virtuoso performance of Heitor Villa-Lobos’ harmonica concerto, the internationally renowned musician will appear at two RSO sponsored events.

SoundBites – RSO Lunchtime Series
RSO Music Director Steven Larsen will host the 75th Anniversary Season’s RSO’s SoundBites lunchtime series at noon with Mr. Bonfiglio as his guest. Soundbites is held at KiKi B’s in the Edgebrook Shopping Center. Guests may order lunch at the restaurant and enjoy Mr. Larsen’s and Mr. Bonfiglio’s entertaining and casual conversation about the musician’s life and music.
Harmonica Jam
Join Robert Bonfiglio and the RSO Staff for a special Harmonica Jam at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 15 at Cliffbreakers. Cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The first 50 guests receive a FREE Harmonica. The event sponsored by Cliffbreakers will take place in the restaurant’s Patio Suite.
Tickets for the concert on Saturday, January 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coronado Performing Arts Center are available at www.rockfordsymphony.com, by calling 815-965-0049, or visiting the Coronado Performing Arts Center Box Office at 314 N. Main Street. Ticket prices range from $18 to $54. Student tickets are just $6.
