Rockford Dance Company Presents: Peter and the Wolf

Rockford Dance Company will present Peter and the Wolf on January 16th at 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at The Sullivan Center (the Old New American Theater) 118 N. Main Street in Rockford. This production has been designed for the family. It will feature two wonderful ballets. The all time favorite classic, Peter and the Wolf, is well known for the connection of musical instruments to each character. To assist families in making the connection, RDC has prepared a specialized program which offers a coloring page that will allow children to connect characters to the instrument. The intimate setting provided by The Sullivan Center will allow families to get an up close look at Peter, the duck, the bird, the cat and the menacing wolf. The second ballet is one of RDC’s favorite holiday pieces; Currier and Ives. This ballet features skaters, of all proficiency, at the turn of the century.
