by Press Release

On the heels of their brand new release, My Blue Garden, Annie and Rod Capps with Jason Dennie will be appearing at Charlottes Web Concerts, held at JustGoods Listening Room, 201 7th St, Rockford, IL 61104 (815) 964-2238 on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Doors open at 7:00pm, show begins at 7:30pm.

Tickets $5 in advance, $7 at the door.

With a rootsy vibe, a touch of twang, and a soulful groove, Annie and Rod Capps are a genre-bending singer/songwriter duo. They have a sound that reflects their deep and intuitive understanding of each other stemming from a love affair that began while making music in the early 80s. Their songs tell heart-breaking stories, poignantly ponder lifes bigger questions, poetically peer in close and make discoveries that ring satisfyingly true.

Genuine, effortless and endearing; theyve been enchanting audiences in quality music venues, house concerts, coffeehouses and festivals throughout the Midwest and beyond, making a name for themselves as one of Michigan's top performing artists.

Proudly announcing the release of their 6th recording, My Blue Garden, a collage of soulful sketches rooted in small town USA, backed up by a top-shelf ensemble of some of the finest Michigan artists and co-produced by Glenn Brown (Jeff Daniels, Spinal Tap, Steppin in it, Rachael Davis). Soon after its release in August 2009, it topped the Folk DJ charts as the #2 most played album and the #1 song My Blue Garden. Lilli Kuzma of WDCB Public Radio in DuPage, IL calls them ... master gardeners of contemporary folk ... Al Kniola of WVPE in Elkhart, IN describes them as "... thoroughly enjoyable ... the real thing ... and Fran Snyder of concertsinyourhome.com says ... youll be charmed.
