Summerfield Zoo, a local exotic zoo, has a new baby Patagonian Cavy, which is the only monogamous rodent and one of the largest types of rodents from South America. Summerfield Zoo would like to invite the public to welcome the new arrival Columbus Day Weekend.

Summerfield Zoo is open Saturday October 10th from 10:00AM-4:00PM; Sunday October 11th
from 11:00AM-4:00PM and Monday, Columbus Day, October 12th from 10:00AM-4:00PM. “Now is a great time to come out and visit the zoo and get an up-close and personal experience with animals you don’t normally see. Especially now with our new baby Patagonian Cavy,” says
Danielle Anderson, volunteer at Summerfield Zoo.

Enjoy animal presentations, hayrides, the petting zoo, have lunch at our lunch stand and shop for
gifts at our gift shop all while at the zoo. Admission is $5.00 per person and all proceeds go to the
care of the animals.

Summerfield Zoo is a not for profit organization providing an up-close and personal animal
