Music on Main Concert Series Kicks Off Second Season

Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce that its Music on Main concert series will kick off its second season on Monday, October 19, 2009 with a performance by the Mendelssohn Chamber Players. The concert will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the historic Emerson House.

The Music on Main concert series consists of brief, intimate musical performances in a casual atmosphere. Complimentary wine and cheese will be served. Admission is free. In lieu of admission, concertgoers are asked to bring a cash donation or non-perishable food item to support the Rock River Valley Pantry. All cash donations will be shared between the Rock River Valley Pantry and the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center.
The Mendelssohn Chamber Players are Betty Leeson and Becky Glover, flute; Hannah and Brandon Lamm, violin; Tom Asher, viola; Michael Nelson, cello; Stacy Rapach, trumpet; and Jack Simon, director. The Players will perform music from the 19th and 20th centuries by Neubar, Thompson, Gianella, Jacob and d’Indy.
