Jam Theatricals and the Coronado Performing Arts Center are proud to announce the addition of DAVID COPPERFIELD: AN INTIMATE EVENING OF GRAND ILLUSION to the Savant Presents Broadway at the Coronado 2009-10 Season, which will mark the 10th Anniversary of the Broadway at the Coronado Series in Rockford.  DAVID COPPERFIELD will play two performances on Saturday October 17, 2009.

 

David Copperfield has been hailed by audiences and critics alike as the greatest magician in the world. His traveling production, DAVID COPPERFIELD: AN INTIMATE EVENING OF GRAND ILLUSION is an affecting, life-changing event that reaches into audiences’ hearts and takes them on a feast of wish-fulfillment.   Displaying his off-the-cuff brand of humor, Copperfield breaks new ground in Grand Illusion and takes his art to a grand yet intimate, personal yet universal dimension for an evening of wonders you’ll never forget.

 

The Savant Presents Broadway at the Coronado 2009-10 Season also includes: CIRQUE DREAMS ILLUMINATION, an all new spectacle of incredible imagination and unbelievable physical feats; THE WEDDING SINGER, a rockin’ new musical that pays homage to the ‘80s; THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, a glamorous Tony Award-winning new musical comedy about a celebrity bride and her biggest fan; AVENUE Q, the fresh new musical about surviving in NYC with big dreams and a tiny bank account; IRVING BERLIN’S I LOVE A PIANO, a musical journey spanning seven decades of American history through the eyes and music of Irving Berlin; and MAMMA MIA!

 

Subscriptions to this stunning season are on sale now! Subscriber benefits include guaranteed same great seats to all season shows, as well as the chance to renew those seats from year to year. Subscribers also receive additional ticket discounts and the chance to purchase tickets to added shows before the general public. Tickets are received by mail to avoid box office lines and lost ticket insurance is included at no charge.

 

Offered this year is the Four-Show Classic Subscription Series (includes IRVING BERLIN’S I LOVE A PIANO, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, THE WEDDING SINGER, and AVENUE Q). The Five-Show Premiere Series is also offered this season, which includes all the shows of the Classic Series plus CIRQUE DREAMS ILLUMINATION. Prices range from $115 to $240 depending on the series and seating choice. MAMMA MIA! and DAVID COPPERFIELD: AN INTIMATE EVENING OF GRAND ILLUSION can be added for an additional cost.

New subscriber orders will be processed in the order they are received after all current subscribers’ renewal requests have been processed.  All seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.  Only subscription sales are available at this time, with the exception of MAMMA MIA!  Tickets for individual shows will go on sale as each performance date approaches.
