In the past seventy plus years since it was constructed, the main auditorium and little theater have received little in the way of improvements, with the last major investment was in the late 1980's and early 1990's when a new fly system, curtains, and some of the electrical were updated. Through the lack of proper maintenance and time, the second largest public auditorium in Rockford is showing her age and is in need of a complete makeover. We need to bring her into the 21^st Century, and not only provide the drama students, but the East High Community and the City of Rockford a facility they can be proud of.

 

On Friday, April 3^rd from 7:00 to 10:00 PM in the East High Gymnasium, the renovation project is hosting a 50's Sock Hop as our first fund raiser. The cost is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.  For additional information you may call 815 399-4123.
