Songs With and Without Words: A Celebration of Felix Mendelssohn

Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center is pleased to present the Mendelssohn Performing Artists in Songs With and Without Words: A Celebration of the Life of Felix Mendelssohn. The concert will be held on Friday, April 3rd, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Court Street United Methodist Church.
This program explores Mendelssohn’s piano and vocal music, including selections from Lieder ohne Worte (Songs Without Words) and his Lieder (Songs With Words) for both solo voice and chamber vocal ensemble.
Felix Mendelssohn, 1809-1847, is among the most popular composers of the Romantic era. In 2009, The bicentennial of his birth, his creative originality is being celebrated worldwide.
