Rockford Symphony Orchestra's Allegro League Hosts Luncheon with Alon Goldstein

by Press Release

The Rockford Symphony Orchestra’s auxiliary, The Allegro League, announces a luncheon in conjunction with the RSO’s Brahms-Schumann Festival. Alon Goldstein, the guest artist for the festival, will present a program of piano music and conversation. The Allegro League luncheon will be held at noon on Friday, January 30, at Forest Hills Country Club, 5135 Forest Hills Rd. in Rockford.

The cost for the luncheon is $35 per person, or $30 for Allegro League members. Seating is limited and reservations for the luncheon may be made by calling the RSO office at 815.965.0049 by Monday, January 26.

Mr. Goldstein is returning to Rockford after his amazing concert performances in 2007 as part of the RSO’s Beethoven Festival. A protégé of Leon Fleischer, Mr. Goldstein’s masterful interpretation of works by Clara and Robert Schumann as well as Johannes Brahms will be enhanced by his insightful and articulate observations as part of the upcoming RSO’s Brahms-Schumann Festival February 3, 5, and 7th.

The luncheon will be held in lieu of the RSO’s SoundBites lunchtime series usually held the Friday before RSO Classics Series concerts. For more information about the Brahms-Schumann Festival, the Allegro League, and the SoundBites series, visit the RSO website at www.rockfordsymphony.com.
