Chances are you've heard of the store, but you may never have been inside. It's been around for over 20 years, and the odds are good that you'd find something of interest if you stopped in. Tomorrow Is Yesterday serves up a mixture of science fiction, fantasy, sports memorabilia, games, books and many other items that are sure to appeal to a wide range of people. Say the name to many people, and their response is "that comic book store, right?" Well, they do sell comic books, but they also have a whole lot more. It's a pretty safe bet that if someone who hadn't been in before were to make that first stop, they'd probably be pleasantly surprised with the diversity of things in stock, and find at least one or two things that pique their interest.

Currently located at 5600 N. Second Street, owner Kim Kowalewski originally opened up shop across the street, and a bit north. That location proved to be too small as his business grew, though, so he eventually moved to the current store. Of course, even then it wasn't large enough for long, and eventually he bought the whole building and expanded the operation. While the store still carries the comic books, sports cards and used books that it always have, they have added more and more product lines over the years. According to manager Kevin Cannon, the store is moving now towards stocking more games, and starting to incorporate a whole line of family and board games. He also said that as the comic book market has moved towards more graphic novels, that format (higher priced, higher quality book versions) has begun to become a bigger section of their offerings.

For those still not convinced that Tomorrow Is Yesterday has something for them, here is a more comprehensive list of some of their offerings - comic books (including a subscription service, back issues and collectors supplies), used books (with a program that lets you bring in your old ones for credit towards new pre-owned books), TV and movie collectibles and memorabilia, T-shirts, games (role playing, collectible card games, war games, family games, board games, etc.), magazines, sports cards and memorabilia, card collecting accessories, books, videos, gaming accessories and much more. As said before, there should be something in that list for everyone.

Tomorrow Is Yesterday also has a gaming room available for various role-playing, war, collectible card and other games. They have a full schedule of games listed - a great chance for gamers to get to play across the table from new faces. With all that's in store, you really need to stop by and check out Tomorrow Is Yesterday. Drop by their store at 5600 N. Second Street (they're open M-F 9-9, Saturday 9-6 and Sunday 11-5) or surf over to www.tomorrowisyesterday.com or give them a call at 633-3977 for more information. I think you'll be glad you did.
