The Strange Sound of Cthulhu - Book Signing

by Press Release

Phoenix Traders is hosting a book signing for The Strange Sound of Cthulhu - Music Inspired by the Writings of H. P. Lovecraft by local writer Gary Hill in our new Wicca and New Age reading room - Sacred Moon at Phoenix Traders.

The book The Strange Sound of Cthulhu - Music Inspired by the Writings of H. P. Lovecraft has been reviewed in Beet Café (www.beetcafe.com), Wormwood Chronicles (www.wormwoodchronicles.com) and "The Bloody Quill" to name a few. It is a useful book for fans of dark music, the author H. P. Lovecraft or any of the bands featured within its covers. The author will be on hand to sign copies and answer questions about the book. In addition to this book Hill also publishes Music Street Journal (www.musicstreetjournal.com). He also writes for Beet Café, Wormwood Chronicles and Rock Valley Publishing and wrote several hundred articles for All Music Guide (allmusic.com).

The event will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, the 6th of December in Phoenix Trader's new Wicca and New Age reading room - Sacred Moon at Phoenix Traders, located with Phoenix Traders, 215 7th Street, Rockford. Phoenix Traders is a fair-trade store and is focused on enriching their community as much as they are on the principles of running a business - they see the two as one and the same. They carry a wide range of clothing, pagan goods, incense, accessories and more. In addition they have a great selection of local music (and are always open to carrying CD's from local acts). With the opening of the reading room they have entered a new phase of their development and vision of enhancing the lives of their customers.

There will be a limited number of copies of The Strange Sound of Cthulhu - Music Inspired by the Writings of Cthulhu available at the store. If you prefer to reserve a copy, please contact Jim Phelps at Phoenix Traders (815-962-4212) (or the author directly at musicstreetjournal@musicstreetjournal.com) in advance. Although the even will focus primarily on this book Hill will also be happy to talk about any of his other endeavors or sign any of the books published by Music Street Journal (compilations of the MSJ articles available at www.cafepress.com/msjmerch) or any of the All Music Guide books that feature his articles.
