If you felt like you might have missed out on the exhibit of Ed Unitsky’s work at Cusco Jack’s, have no fear, the prints will remain on display at least into February. Debuting in early December, the display features prints of world renowned artist Ed Unitsky.

While he’s been called the “modern day Dali,” Unitsky has built quite a reputation doing art for progressive rock album covers. It was just such a connection that helped to catapult British artist Roger Dean to the upper echelons of the art community in the 1970’s. Indeed, Dean is another whose name has been heard rather frequently when discussions of Unitsky are underway.

Whatever influences you see in Unitsky’s work, the fact remains that this artist (a native of Belarus) is a uniquely talented man. There is no better way to see his work than in this display of his prints. The beautiful thing is that you can also buy prints to have them on your own wall at home.

Cusco Jack’s is located at 6957 Olde Creek Road in Rockford and will have the pictures on display during regular store hours – from 10-7 Monday through Thursday and 10-6 on Fridays and Saturdays. Stop in and get a glimpse at the work of a man who is causing quite a stir in the international art community.
